4 large Portabella mushrooms peeled
1 onion peeled & chopped
1 clove garlic peeled & crushed
4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt / black pepper
4 thick slice Onion & Chive Whirl
1)Remove stalk from mushroom and finely chop.
2)Sauté the onion, garlic and mushroom stalks in oil and butter for 3-4 minutes.
3)Add the breadcrumbs and parsley and mix well together.
4)Remove from heat and season to taste.
5)Stuff the mushrooms with the onion mixture
and top each one with a slice of Onion & Chive Whirl.
6)Place in an ovenproof dish and bake at 180°C/390°F/Gas 5 for 20 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender and the cheese is bubbling.
7)Serve as a vegetarian main course or as an accompaniment to grilled meat.
