Ingredients:
1-1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. Prissy’s of Vidalia Fig Preserves
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. oil
3 eggs
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 tsp. vanilla extract, real only
1/2 c. chopped nuts, pecans or walnuts
1 c. buttermilk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º
Combine dry ingredients; add oil and beat well. Add eggs, beat 1 minute. Add buttermilk and vanilla; mix well. Stir in Prissy’s of Vidalia Fig Preserves and nuts. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 45-50 minutes or until done.
