Ingredients:
You can make this recipe with a plain fresh chevre, or use a chevre already mixed with nuts or dried fruit.
4 large, tart baking apples like Granny Smith
1/2 C fresh chevre
1 C raisins
4 Tbsp butter
Maple Syrup or Honey for serving
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 F.
Core apples and remove seeds. Peel just the very top of the apple, so the butter and flavoring can penetrate.
Mix chevre and raisins. Divide into 4 portions and stuff evenly into apples. Top each apple with 1 tablespoon of butter.
Bake 15-20 minutes until softened and centers are bubbling.
Drizzle with maple syrup or honey. Serve with yogurt or cream.
