Ingredients:
8 oz frozen puff pastry (defrosted)
4 oz grated Parmesan Cheese
1 tbsp TASTE #5 UMAMI PASTE™
1 egg beaten
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 F
Unroll a puff pastry sheet, spread two thirds with a thin layer of Taste #5 Umami Paste™ and scatter over a couple of handfuls of grated Parmesan, then fold in half. On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pastry to seal in flavours, when 1/8 in thick add another handful of grated cheese and fold over again, and roll out to a final oblong of 1/4 in thick. Brush with the beaten egg and scatter with remaining Parmesan, leave to rest for 15 minutes in a cool place. Cut into strips, then turn the ends of the strips away from each other to create a twist all the way up the straw. Lay straws on a baking sheet and bake for 12 mins, or until golden. Leave to cool, then keep in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
