It's thanks to wine that vinegar exists. It is the natural offspring. It's a fact- leave a bottle of wine uncorked and it will become vinegar. Indeed, the word ‘vinegar' comes from the French vin aigre, meaning sour wine. Tracing back to find its inventor is impossible. It is a stroke of luck that works so well. One finds traces of vinegar production in Egypt and in Mesopotamia more than 5000 years ago.

A L'Olivier takes its vinegars from the traditional wine and spirit producing regions of France: Bordeaux, Champagne, Reims, Normandy. The quality of the wines, the density of the must, the mastering of the fermentation and the art of aging are all factors which are taken into account in order to produce the best traditional vinegars.

This white wine French vinegar is infused with freshly harvested Tarragon from Provence. It adds an aromatic herbaceous flavor to any dish and ideal to season chicken salads and seafood.
