If the notion of a semi-sweet chocolate goat cheese appeals to you, you will positively fall in love with this new creation from Westfield Farm. Rich and creamy with a slightly goaty tang, be forewarned, these five ounce logs are addictive.
Chocolate Capri took 1st Place at the 2003 American Cheese Society Awards in the Flavored Goat Cheese category.

We have semi-regular cheese parties with friends. A colleague who also loves iGourmet first introduced me to this cheese, and I had to share it. The colleague and I are also conducting a tasting in a few months.
This starts as a novelty item, intriguing because, as one taster said "My two favorite foods, but I never thought they would go together." It was an instant hit.
It doesn't photograph very well, because of the color and shape, but the taste is delicious.
We had an unexpected delicious way to enjoy it. Try it on celery. The tang of the goat cheese and the undercurrent of bitterness in the celery cancel each other out. What comes out is the delicious sweet taste of chocolate, the crunch of celery, and the smoothness of the cheese. All skeptics will be converts!

This creamy cheese tastes like goat cheese mixed with a Hershey's Kiss. I've used it spread on plain crackers and also on a fruit and cheese plate with dried cherries, apricots and salted almonds. It is a very distinctive taste that will leave your guests talking about it because they've never had it before.

This cheese is delightful, but very different than to what I am used to since it is the first time I have had a chocolate goat cheese. Went beautiful with an after dinner fortified wine like madeira. I would buy this again, especially during the holidays, when the weather starts getting colder. Great conversation piece!
