Located in:50 States of Cheese, Tennessee
Sweetwater Valley Farm combines the tradition of family farming and the art of fine cheesemaking. The farm's goal is to maintain an economically viable, modern dairy farm that is open to the public, producing the finest farmstead cheeses for the public to enjoy.

While today's Sweetwater Valley Farm cheese is produced in a state-of-the-art facility located in Philadelphia, Tennessee, owner John Harrison has preserved the fine art and craft of cheese making. His farm proves that a hand-tendered cheese can be produced in concert with modern dairy farm technology.

Sweetwater Valley's Buttermilk Block is all about the aftertaste. Up front, it is a mild cheese like any other. As it moves back on the tongue, however, its character becomes more defined. The tangy snap of buttermilk comes alive as this smooth textured cheese slides down your throat. Enjoy it with grapes or apple slices as a midday snack. It is also a great melter!

This cheese has a very unique combination of flavor and texture. The flavor is similar to that of a Monterey Jack, but with the consistency of an aged Cheddar. It is quite good for most applications and melts particularly well. Try it...you'll like it.

Another great 'find' [...]. We have been visiting and buying Sweetwater Farms products for many years. This particular product is so 'exciting to taste.' We often sprinkle a bit of garlic salt on it and 'pair with sliced apples.'
