The sage derby was gone first. Unfortunately, the kids got to it before it could be served for an appetizer. This is a great assortment for buffet style dining around the holidays.
This was a wonderful assortment of flavors and textures. The emmenthaler was firm and nutty. The goat cheese with blueberries and cinnamon was delightful as a spread on crackers. I enjoyed the Wensleydale with cranberries. It is a crumbly cheese, but very tasty. Also thought the sage Derby was a surprise. They all tasted great accompanied by the cranberry mustard. It would have been terrific as a cocktail sauce with shrimp.
Loved these cheeses. The Sage Derby is fabulous in omelettes!
This was a fantastic set of cheeses! All of the cheeses were flavorful and complemented each other well. And the chutney was amazing too.
My favorites were the sage derby and the rum raisin chevre log. We served the cheeses for appetizers on Thanksgiving, and it was well-received by all.
