Yet, the cheese is still smoked in ancient brick ovens over smoldering hickory chip embers. Note: the brown, smoky rind is not only edible, it's the best part of the cheese!

I LOVE THIS SMOKED GOUDA PLAIN AND THOUGHT THAT'S WHAT I ORDERED THIS LAST TIME BUT ORDERED IT WITH
JALAPENO BY ACCIDENT AND WAS TREPIDATIONS ABOUT IT BEING TO HOT BUT SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING BECAUSE THEY CAUGHT THE ESSENCE OF FRUIT AND HEAT OF THE PEPPER IN MODEST BALANCE WITHOUT OVERSHADOWING THE OTHER HIGH NOTES IN THIS PRODUCT.
I'M DYING TO TRY THE GARLIC AND HERB.

THIS WONDERFUL CHEESE STANDS BY ITSELF AS WHOLE OTHER SPECIES OF GOUDA AND DOES DOUBLE AND TRIPLE DUTY. SLICED FOR SANDWICHES, SHREDDED FOR GRATENS AND CASSEROLES, A FINISHING GARNISH IN SOUPS, OR MY FAVORITE WAY TO ENJOY THIS CRAVING SMASHER IS ON A CRACKER WITH A BIT OF HAM OR TURKEY.

I use this cheese in one of my favorite salads all the time. Here tis:
Butter Lettuce
Smoked Ham
Ripe Anjou Pear Chunks
Smoked Gouda Strips
Dress with good Balsamic and Olive Oil.

Totally yummy combo - I promise.

This smoked gouda with mushrooms used to be my favorite, but the quality has gone down terribly -the last one I received was downright nasty, tasting like like a processed cheese-product. I don't know whether it's a new supplier or just a bad batch, but after two "declining" cheeses I'm not sure I'm going to go for strike three...

Being from Holland the cheese Country, we always have cheese in the fridge.This smoked cheese is wonderful. My daughter goes tippy-toes on late evenings to the fridge to get herself a few pieces.

Ever since I was a child. Mostly around the age of two months I have loved the delicate taste of smoked Gouda. Every time I take a slice into that round 6lb. cylindrical cheese I just smile. The anticipation of the taste kills me. I can?t wait to eat it. I love Gouda, and smoked Gouda. If Gouda was a woman id marry it. <3

Bought one for myself and one as a gift for a friend. I loved, she loved it, a real winner! Pleasantly smokey, not overwhelming, and a nice creamy texture. Paired so well with fruit after dinner or as a snack. I also used it to make a grilled cheese sandwich - a delicious change of pace! Will definitely buy again.
