Not pungent as reported, but mild, creamy, rich. My wife said excellent, but I could not eat much as-is. Better melted, for me. Still will buy again.

Comments about Danbo:

We always had Danbo (Christian the 9th) in the house especially on holidays. Used to get it from Lunds Deli in Brooklyn in the 40's and 50's along with the other Danish and Swedish delicasies. I haven't had it for about 10 years as it seems to becoming scarce. I generally have it on a buttered piece (several) of WASA bread or in a sandwich. Even my grandchildren like it.

I used this cheese along with four other cheeses for oversized grilled cheese sandwhiches. They were so delicious. A real hit with everyone. Melted well and wasn't greasy.
