Tangra Bulgarian Feta, also known as Brindza, is made from pure sheep's milk from free-grazing ewes in the Rhodope Mountains. The name Tangra comes from ancient Bulgarian mythology, in which a deity named Tangra protected animals and promoted agriculture. Both creamy and crumbly, and not too salty, we are sure you will find it to be one of the best fetas you have ever eaten.

So much better than the domestic cows milk stuff one gets in the average supermarket.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
This feta tasted the way a barnyard smells--not an appetizing association! Perhaps this is the "sheep flavor" that another reviewer referred to. I gave this cheese a number of tries over different days and in different applications, but could not get used to that faintly urine, livestock tang.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
It's good, but it doesn't knock my socks off. I am a huge fan of Valbreso French Feta and have not tasted anything that comes close. This is a good basic Feta, but it won't bowl you over.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
Very good flavor profile.
Blends well with other flavors, enhances and contrasts at the same time.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
Used in salad was the best application, a winner,
served to guests, they loved it.

I have been one of your customers for a very long time. I have Never been disappointed in your products, [...] or your your advertising, However, and I repeat myself here! I do take issue with the size of the offerings. We are a family of two, 85 year olds, with an innate inability to eat much cheese at any one sitting. We of course could go all the way to Syracuse and buy what ever small amt we wish. But unfortunately, Syr. is 50 miles away. Get the picture??Roger [@]

I've been to Turkey, and they fed me this every day for breakfast until I got tired of it. this cheese, black olives, french bread, cucumbers, and tea. every friggin day. but this cheese is so good, you can't find anything like it made in the U.S. most feta is too salty, this stuff is great
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
Well worth the money although I think I prefer the Romanian feta.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
This is an unusually tart feta, so how much you like it will be pretty dependant on your personal tastes. I thought it was just okay, while my husband (who loves sour flavors) liked it more. It is creamier than supermarket feta, which is certainly in its favor.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
Great feta cheese. Diced and mixed with cucumber chunks and olive oil... delicious! A little crumblier than most feta - well worth it though.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
This feta was creamy but crumbly at the same time. It was not too salty nor too acidic but had very mild milky sheep flavor. I really loved it.
I need to order it every month!
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
A great cheese to go along with dinner. Break off pieces and eat throughout meal.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
We use this crumbled over spinach salads and its amazing. Its perfect for snacking on with crackers and fruit too. Will buy again!
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
intended to eat plain with olive oil, fresh bread & olives. This cheese is more salty than I would recommend for eating plain. It is better suited to be in a dish, salad or hors d'oeuvre
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
First introduced by a chef friend. Loved it then and still include it with every order. Serving suggestion: Cut cheese in 1/2 inch pieces and rinse a few times in cool water. Drain & marinate in extra virgin olive oil & crushed oregano or your favorite herb. we love it with crusty italian bread and wine as an appetizer.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
Excellent feta, very similar to the ones I enjoyed when traveling in eastern Europe. Makes for a delicious breakfast with flatbread, crumbled in salads, or cooked with polenta dishes for dinner. Great pricing as well; a fine value.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
This is a more mellow feta, without the harsh bite that some feta can have. It is wonderful in spanakopita and other Greek dishes calling for feta. This also is great to eat on its own and to crumble on salads.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
My Bulgarian friends were very happy to have their own cheese. Yes, it is authentic Bulgarian
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
I have tried a lot of different Feta cheeses and this is the best yet. It was fantastic when we first tried it and it has retained that fresh taste even after several months storage (tupperware in refrigerator). If you like Greek salads then this is a cheese you need to try.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
sometimes FETA is wery solty and the salt taste owerpowwer the milky taste. In this case you have really fresh cheese, not stored in a brine for long.
Comments about Bulgarian Feta:
Tangy and flavorful. Substantial enough to use in salads or dishes. Would definitley buy this again.

Great flavor paired with almost anything. Marinated with extra virgin olive oil, ground pepper and thyme it makes a great appetizer.
