This Cheddar made from goat's milk is created using Cornish Country Larder's own recipe developed in 1998. The result is a cheese with a unique full flavored taste. Aged for at least 10 months in a cold room, it develops a little bite that signifies a mature cheese. Having won numerous competitions including "Best Overall Hard Cheese" at The Royal Bath and West Show 2000, we are sure you will love this authentic English creation.

Comments about Cornish Country Larder's Goat's Milk Cheddar:

This is the first cheddar made from goat's milk that I have tried. It is certainly a fine cheese, but all of the cheeses made from goat's milk have a similar taste (kind of tangy). Therefore, this tastes more like goat cheese than cheddar cheese.

I love goats' milk cheeses, but I had never had goats' milk cheddar. I plan to buy much more of this cheese. It is wonderful.

Comments about Cornish Country Larder's Goat's Milk Cheddar:

To be honest, I was expecting this to be a very tart cheddar because of the goat milk and was greeted instead with a lovely bright cheddar taste with a touch of herb to it. It has become one of my favorite cheddars. It is excellent in salad, moist enough for sauces and is good with everything from eggs to beef.

Comments about Cornish Country Larder's Goat's Milk Cheddar:

It's a light but not mild cheddar - I may be unusual in that I don't like the sharp bite of mature cheddar eaten on it's own. This had strong cheddar taste but no bite - you don't need biscuits or fruit to go with it... or pickle, or anything but the lovely, melt-in-your-mouth cheddar
