Windsor Red is an English specialty blending hot pink Elderberry wine with mild Derby cheese. The combination yields a distinctive berry flavor and an eye-catching look. Strikingly beautiful, Windsor Red makes an excellent addition to any cheese board. Serve it during hors d'oeuvres or after dinner as part of a cheese course. Comments about Windsor Red:

I received this wonderful cheese in a gift basket from my grandbabies. I served it accompanied by strawberries, chocolate, nuts, prosciutto and crackers for drop in guests. The flavor of the cheese was mild yet flavorful, it held together well when sliced and the appearance is appealing. Our wine choices were Merlot and Chardonnay and it was wonderful with both!

Comments about Windsor Red:

Initially, I bought a wedge of this just because I thought it was different and looked pretty. However, I'm now addicted after the first bite. This cheese is unique and very tasty. The wine doesn't overpower the cheese but gives it that extra kick of sweetness. If you serve this as an hors d'oeuvre... your guests will be enchanted. I will be ordering more.

Comments about Windsor Red:

Although the subject of an old Elton John song, I never gave elderberry wine much thought as I associated it with cheap fortified wines from the 60's and 70's. It does however make a wonderful addition to a cheese and I love that berry flavor. Just the right amount of sweetness.

I love this cheese at room temp on a nice Breton sesame cracker with a glass of Pinot Grigio.
