Located in: Cheese, England
This adventuresome cheese sends your taste buds on a trip to the hot tropics, with a detour to England along the way! Tuxford & Tebbutt's exciting blends use Wensleydale cheese as the base with the flavors of the Caribbean as their inspiration.

These Wensleydales are fresh, young cheeses taken at only three weeks old. They have a clean, mild, slightly sweet flavor with a honeyed aftertaste. They are vegetarian, made from cow's milk, with a texture ranging from semi-soft and slightly crumbly to creamy.

Pieces of rum soaked fruit such as sultanas, currants, raisins, pineapple, apricots, orange and lemon peel, and glace cherries infuse this sweet cheese.

  • Made from cow's milk.
  • Suitable for vegetarians.

The rummed fruit ruined this cheese. The flavors were unidentifiable, almost medicinal. Definitely not tropical. I did not serve this cheese to guests or finish it myself. On the other hand, I love stilton with apricots.

This selection was not as flavorful as I expected. My favorite is Mango and ginger and I thought that this might be as good. I still like the mango and ginger the best.

Cheese has a nice flavor but it crumbles so badly that little specs of cheese fly all over the table. Cannot slice or cut a firm piece
