These adventuresome cheeses send your taste buds on a trip to the hot tropics, with a detour to England along the way! Tuxford & Tebbutt's exciting blends use Wensleydale cheese as the base with the flavors of the Caribbean as their inspiration.

These Wensleydales are fresh, young cheeses taken at only three weeks old. They have a clean, mild, slightly sweet flavor with a honeyed aftertaste. They are vegetarian, made from cow's milk, with a texture ranging from semi-soft and slightly crumbly to creamy.

Wensleydale with Papaya & Mango works as a snacking cheese, dessert cheese, crumbled over dishes, especially salads, and dresses up a hum-drum toasted bagel for breakfast. When sliced, it breaks off into chunks flecked with bright nuggets of fruit. Although Wensleydale will melt, it is not a good idea to cook with it at high heat. If you prefer it with a warm dish, it is best only gently heated, added on in the final stages of preparation.

This cheese is delicious on top of a mixed green salad. I usually put it on top my salad with oil and balsamic vinegar dressing. The combination of the fruit in the cheese with the salad greens and balsamic vinegar is to die for!

Had hopes for this cheese. The flavor was interesting, a mixture of sweet and a little salt. I had problems with the texture which was grainy, and the cheese crumbled easily.

This is a great chees to put on a fruit platter or eat by itself. We enjoyed it on a fresh herb salad with a light dressing. You can also spread it on a bagel.

Flavor of the cheese overpowers the flavor of the fruit. Not a bad flavor, but not my favorite.
