Finlandia calls this cheese “Finnish Style Havarti”. The taste is similar to Havarti, but the fat content is lower because it is made from partially skimmed cow's milk. This semi-soft cheese also lacks the apertures, or tiny “eyes” of Havarti. Turunmaa's flavor is mild with a slight tang.

Turunmaa is exceptionally creamy, soft and rich tasting. This one is with a mild, "child-friendly" flavor. Great for a healthy nosh. Very soft though, so slicing is a bit of a chore.

Lovely, just-salty-enough flavor - but you MUST melt it !!! Nothing better for a grilled cheese sandwich.
