Located in: Cheese, France
This cheese is made in Pouligny-Saint-Pierre in central France by a small agricultural concern. It is the result of a successful experiment that combined blue mold with a typically French soft, creamy cheese. The French are well-known for their expert ability to produce the world's best soft cheeses, and RocheBaron is no exception. RocheBaron is made by injecting their delicious soft-as-Brie cheese with the same mold that is used to produce Roquefort. Rich and sinfully creamy, this wonderful product is a fantastic example of the French love for fine cheeses. It has a strong, blue flavor so be sure to serve it to cheese lovers only!

This is one of my new favorite cheeses. I will be ordering this one again for sure. I got it for my mom and ended up loving it so much. It is very creamy and very flavorful. It was a pretty strong blue cheese. I loved it.

I like "bleu de bresse" but couldn't find it in USA. Rochebaron is the closest creamy blue cheese.

I had bought this for a friend who enjoyed it. I didn't get a chance to try it at the time. One of our local markets had it briefly and I was able to sample it. Loved it.

Comments about RocheBaron Creamy Blue (Montbriac):

Unusual cheese. Creamy like brie, yet tastes like blue. You may want to wear latex gloves when handling this cheese - its rind is actually soft and black (grey?), and it gets messy when you cut it. One bite of RocheBaron (if you get past the rind color) and you are hooked!
