A must for a "stinky cheese party"

Close your eyes and travel to Burgundy. One of the most delicious French cheeses. We loved it at first bite in Burgundy country and were thrilled to find it on your website.
Comments about Epoisses:
I discovered Epoisses at La Tante Claire in London, had it next at La Tour D'Arget in Paris, where the waiter agreed that Epoisses was his favorite too. Simply, Epoisses is the best cheese I have ever had! It never disappoints.
Comments about Epoisses:
This is a delicious complex cheese that would be great anytime even as a snack
Comments about Epoisses:
I use it for snacks and see no downside.

We really enjoyed it on toast. It's also good on crackers or small pumpernikel squares. It's just great any way! It is very pungent, just the way we love it. A REAL treat!

Just good cheese!
Comments about Epoisses:
This is a superb cheese with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, a haughty aroma, and a rich, buttery flavor. The rind is delightful as well. Our puppy prefers to eat this variety, rather than roll in it (like Livarot and Limberger). Holds well when chilled after opening.
PLEASE serve this cheese after it awakes (about an hour at room temperature) and just begins to flow.

I first tasted this awesome cheese while visiting France and I fell in love. When I got home I visited Igourmet.com and was thrilled to see that they carried it. I ordered some and it is every bit as wonderful a treat as it was in that fancy French restaurant!
Rich, creamy, indulgent! Serve at room temperature for the best flavor and consistency. The aroma is a bit pungent, but the flavor is both delicate and decadent. This cheese will just melt in your mouth.
This cheese is very runny and is delicious on crostini or crackers.

I first encountered this amazing cheese at the Inn at Little Washington. They served it as part of a desert cheese course. We were all blown away by its powerful but sublime flavor. I hoped it would be as good when I ordered some from igourmet and I was not disappointed. Try it with any red wine, champagne or Chambourd. The ultimate for funky fromage fans!
Comments about Epoisses:
For those into the less innocuous foods, this cheese is at the top of the list. There are few foods as complex and tasty as this rather robust cheese. You can't beat its flavor but be prepared for its pungency.
Comments about Epoisses:
Fantastic on a fresh baguette. This cheese became an instant favorite. I will order it again and again. Very pungent and oh so yummy.

For adults only lol.
The Epoisses I received was a little bit overriped and had a slight bitter taste, but I love this cheese, I ate it faster...
The taste is not as strong as the smell.
I introduced this cheese at a "Cheese sampling party" but I was the only one to appreciate it. The smell was too strong for my guests.

I first had Epoisses on a river cruise in France in the summer of '06. I remember writing down the name of the cheese so I wouldn't forget it (and I remember buying some at the market in Lyon and pigging out with a fresh baguette). I googled when I returned and have been ordering it from [...]ever since. It's not for the faint-hearted- my garage still smells like stinky cheese- but it holds a place of honor on the stinky cheese tray at every party I have.

I first had this cheese in Dijon and was pleased to find it on your website. It was everything I remembered it to be! It may be a little "stinky" for some people but I find it great after dinner.

we first had epoisse in beaune, france, and were so excited to get it [...].i serve it as an h'ors d'oeuvre, room temperature, with a dense yeasted bread i make myself with dried fruits and nuts - any variation works. a lucious combination !
Comments about Epoisses:
surprised there was a hint of sweetness.excellent cheese!
Comments about Epoisses:
We love it before or after dinner. It has a wonderful flavor even though it has a strong smell. A great experience!
Comments about Epoisses:
This cheese is perfect in its character and integrity.Great for dipping or slathering on a cracker. A true French farm favorite on a crusty baguette with fresh rosemary.... Yum!
Comments about Epoisses:
I love this cheese spread at room temperature on a piece of French bread or on crackers. I try not to eat prepared foods (lunchmeats, etc.) or extremely fatty or salty foods, but whatever calories and fats are in this cheese don't count. Absolutely love it.
Comments about Epoisses:
We are great fans of epoisse - stink and all. However, this one was just a tad over-ripe and had already started to show its age. It lasted less than a week before it had to be tossed - but there was only a little little bit left anyway. It has a great epoisse flavor - perfect on a fresh baguette and a good Burgundy.
Comments about Epoisses:
Outrageous aroma and taste that are a stinky cheese lovers dream come true
Comments about Epoisses:
This is the best of all cheeses, reserved for the true connaisseurs ... beware the very strong taste, it is not for the faint of heart!
Best appreciated at the end of a meal, and after eating all other cheeses on your plate since the strong, rich and spicy aroma will stay on your palate for quite some time. Suggested wines would be Burgandy, or other strong and earthy wines.

Delightful surprise. Smelly, sure. Delicious, certainly. Served at room temperature on crusty french bread, it's to die for. I've served it several times to guests who've found it equally delightful.
Comments about Epoisses:
If you like ripe, pungent cheeses this is one of the very best! We include it with nearly every order and it just gets better as it stands in the refrigerator. It's wonderful on bagel crisps and baquettes!
Comments about Epoisses:
Sure it's smelly but, with a nice, crusty bread, it can't be beat when included on a cheese plate or as a "dessert" course. It is truly one of the best cheeses produced in the world.
Comments about Epoisses:
The king of stinky cheeses - it really grows on you. Smooth and velvety when it gets warm and runny. Let it vome to room temperature.
