Comments about Brillat Savarin Affine:

I am really tired of them shipping cheese that clearly is bad. The soft creamy cheese was marred by the solid "chevre" like texture that really spoiled the experience. They replaced the first one, but the second was no better. You just get tired of telling them that they are not keeping their cheeses in good condition. It is very sad. I have bought a lot of Cheeses from Igourmet, but now I am constantly disappointed. If there was anyone else, I would go there.

This cheese tasted like over the hill sour cream. My hubby kept saying it's missing salt, and I agreed. We will not buy again, granted it came in a HUGE wheel of triple-cream not-so-goodness.

The first time I got this cheese it was heavenly and I had to order it again. The second time the [...] product was overheated, therefore it arrived rancid, the stench was overpowering. [...] The cheese was passable with a bit strong after taste. If I were to order this again I would have to go for the overnight shipment, hopefully it will arrive in good condition. Would tell a friend about it but would tell them to use fastest shipment to insure that cheese comes ok.

Comments about Brillat Savarin Affine:

I wanted to have something light and creamy after dinner with wine with friends. I put this on lightly toasted bread alongside a fruit tray and it was wonderful.
The only thing is, it gets really soft fast and it melts even faster if the bread has any heat left in it. Best used cold. But it was a big hit!

A decadent triple creme that requires restraint not to eat the whole thing at one sitting. Amazingly smooth texture but can be a little drippy if left out too long.

Comments about Brillat Savarin Affine:

This is one of the best cheeses from France. It is very pungent and the texture is unlike anything else-- creamy but not sticky or gooey like camembert or some other soft cheeses. It might be an acquired taste for some because it is very strong, but everyone should try!

Comments about Brillat Savarin Affine:

The Brillat Savarin is, when it is not over-ripe, our favorite cheese. It is rich and creamy with a delicious tang that pairs amazingly well with wine. The disappointment is that this cheese is often shipped over-ripe (the wife is French and she is incontrovertible authority on properly aged and over-ripe cheese) [...]

Comments about Brillat Savarin Affine:

I like trying new cheeses and was given this as a gift. I've had some bad cheese before, but this was one of the worst. The first fraction of a second it is in your mouth you think it is going to be good, but then you are hit with a bitter, acidic aftertaste that is nearly impossible to get out of your mouth. [...]

Comments about Brillat Savarin Affine:

well, i thought this was the soft sweet cheese that you would get during the holidays, but being a novice, this cheese was soft, but to my pallete very bad tasting. My sister said she knows how to make a dish with this cheese that makes it incredible , consisting of the cheese being mixed with pecans and syrup then covered and baked with fila pastry dough, she made it for me, and it was pretty yummy. the syrup helped to sweeten the cheese. But, at least to me, the cheese alone, no likey.
