Camembert du Bocage Tradition is a handmade Camembert from a small dairy in Normandy, the specific AOC region for this famous French cheese. In fact, cheeses named Camembert that hail from outside of Normandy are technically misusing the name. The sign of a premium quality Camembert, this one has a "core" that is firmer in texture than the creamy paste closer to the rind. As it matures, the interior becomes more ooey-gooey and runny at room temperature. Made from premium quality, lightly pasteurized milk, this spectacular cheese was previously unavailable in the U.S. In fact, it is the best Camembert you can get in America today.

  • Made from lightly pasteurized milk.
  • Photo depicts whole 8.8 oz. form of cheese.

This is one of my favorite cheeses. The product I ordered arrived in perfect condition and was a winner after dinner. I ate this very cheese in France and it was exactly as I remembered.

Comments about Camembert du Bocage Tradition:

This is no worse or better than shop bought Camembert any where in the US. You will be disappointed if you have eaten Camembert in France We need to be able to eat imported raw milk Camembert. As a recommendation, St Andre is very good cheese, not Camembert, but an excellent, flavorful, creamy cheese.

Comments about Camembert du Bocage Tradition:

Arrived in great condition, and probably the best camembert I've had here in the US. Give it at least an hour at room temp before serving, so it gets nice and creamy - yum
