Located in: Cheese, France
Made in the French town of Brie, Boursault is a very popular double cream cheese that is frequently found in grocery stores across France. Boursault, the cheese, was invented in 1953 by Henri Boursault, and was originally made in eight ounce drums. The company is now owned by Boursin, which makes relatively well-known spreadable, herbed cheeses. We sell this rich, creamy delight in a 6.3-ounce drums, which is a good size for a cheese with butterfat content as high as 74%. For those of you who gasp at that number and grab onto your chests, just remember,“fat is flavor”. This cheese is worth every tiny bite, and besides, it could be worse. There are triple creams !
  • Best enjoyed within seven days of delivery.
  • Made from cow's milk.
  • Photo depicts whole 6.3 oz. form of cheese.

Comments about Boursault:

This is by far one of the best cheeses (not to mention with one of the highest fat contents out there). Should be enjoyed with a simple unflavored water cracker or bread, and a dark jam if that is your style. Aroma and taste are smooth and sikly, and every bite is a dream come true.

Wonderfull. great flavor, no wasted rind, spreads
as easily as cream cheese. Doen't last long enough to degrade, it is eaten before it can age.

Comments about Boursault:

An amazing cheese that paired wonderfully with a glass of champagne and a crusty baguette. An almost nutty taste, might do well with almonds. Mouth watering flavor. Best enjoyed by allowing the cheese to fully melt in the mouth and then sipping the champagne allowing it to touch all regions of the mouth. Wonderful.

Comments about Boursault:

This is an excellent double creme w/a lot of flavor. I love it w/table water crackers and a glass of good cabernet. I only treat myself once every couple of years, because it is very rich.
