Great with a glass of wine and fruit. The creamy salty flavor went very well with dates and fresh fruit. Being a soft cheese a little hard to cut a clean slice. No complaints.

Comments about Regina Blu:

I was very much looking forward to trying this cheese. When my order arrived it was the first thing that I looked for.[...] I tried to let it come to room temperature. I am a cheese-a-holic and being anxious, I actually tasted it before it was at the temperature that I thought would be ideal and Oh My Goodness! This cheese has such a buttery, rich, unbelievable flavor and is so decadent. I first tried it with a glass of wine. It works. I then tried it wrapped in prosciutto, it works. The next morning I scrambled it in some eggs and oh my goodness, it was heavenly. It made the eggs nice and creamy and gave it any interesting little bite. I nibbled on it at every thought. I promised my mom that I would let her try it but....it's all gone. I am getting ready to order some more. I love this cheese!

Comments about Regina Blu:

This is a spectacular Blue cheese, it has none of the harsh saltiness so common with "cheap" blue cheeses. It is creamy and rich like a young gorgonzola and goes great with crackers. I like this cheese spread on a water cracker with persimmon preserve.

Comments about Regina Blu:

Regina Blu is a good creamy cheese.
Not overpowering. Great on little
wheat toasts or by itself, but my
favorite is a big dollop stuffed in
a hot Peppadew pepper.

Comments about Regina Blu:

This very unique German blue was superb. Regina is reminiscent of a Roquefort, or sloft, velvety blue, but it maintains overtones of pears and paches. We had ours on steak and potatoes, but I can really see it pairing well with a semi-sweet white, and a fruit platter.

The cheese can only be described as Blue Cream Cheese. It is obscenely rich and the delicate blue taste can make a convert of anyone who isn't a blue lover.

Comments about Regina Blu:

I really love this cheese! Even for those that are afraid of Blue Cheese, this is the best to try. It is creamy & not strong like other Blue Cheeses. I make a cream (milk) sauce and melt in some Regina Blu, add chopped sun-dried tomatoes and put over Organic Pasta - Yum!!

My favorite cheese at igourmet
By CheesebotVerified Reviewer from Baton Rouge, LA on 2/22/2007
Pros:
Creamy blue, Good Value, High Quality
Best Uses:
Eat by itself, Spread on crusty bread
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Regina Blu:

This cheese is not so much a blue as it is like fourmet d'ambert or a sweet gorgonzola. It's even better because the taste is milder.
