This very unique German blue was superb. Regina is reminiscent of a Roquefort, or sloft, velvety blue, but it maintains overtones of pears and paches. We had ours on steak and potatoes, but I can really see it pairing well with a semi-sweet white, and a fruit platter.

The cheese can only be described as Blue Cream Cheese. It is obscenely rich and the delicate blue taste can make a convert of anyone who isn't a blue lover.

Fabulous Cheese - A Favorite
By Herbcrazy from CT on 2/23/2007
Pros:
Good Value, High Quality
Best Uses:
Pasta or Pizza
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I really love this cheese! Even for those that are afraid of Blue Cheese, this is the best to try. It is creamy & not strong like other Blue Cheeses. I make a cream (milk) sauce and melt in some Regina Blu, add chopped sun-dried tomatoes and put over Organic Pasta - Yum!!

My favorite cheese at igourmet
By CheesebotVerified Reviewer from Baton Rouge, LA on 2/22/2007
Pros:
Creamy blue, Good Value, High Quality
Best Uses:
Eat by itself, Spread on crusty bread
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This cheese is not so much a blue as it is like fourmet d'ambert or a sweet gorgonzola. It's even better because the taste is milder.
