Cambozola, which is made by Kasseri Champignon in Bavaria, is a rich and creamy Camembert-type cheese with a bloomy white rind. Beneath its crust, one finds streaks of tangy blue. Hence its name: the marriage of Camembert and Gorgonzola gives us Cambozola. Very popular all over the world, Cambozola is the perfect addition to the after-dinner cheese course and pairs well with fruit and nuts.

Wonderful cheese that in flavor would probably be best described as inbetween a blue cheese and a brie. All the good of blue cheese with all the creamyness of a brie!!!

I got more compliments on this cheese than any other I gave as gifts this year. Leave it out for about an hour to really get the creamy effect.

This was given to me as a Christmas gift, and it surpassed all my expectations. The only problem is that I cannot eat a whole pound by myself. However, it tastes heavenly on a cracker, on top of a rare ribeye steak, or tossed with linguine.

The flavor , texture, and substance is adequate enough that I have made meals of just the cheese and a whole wheat specialty cracker. Nothing else is needed.

This cheese is wonderfully flavorful without being overpowering as some blue cheeses can be. Try it melted on sandwiches, you'll love it. Me, I just love it as a snack on crackers . What a delicious cheese. I'll be buying this again and again!

Just Okay
By pm cheese lover from Denver, CO on 3/4/2007
Pros:
Creamy
Cons:
Not pungent enough
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

It is an okay cheese and has a decent flavor when brought to room temperature. If this is the only thing your grocery store has I would say go for it, but if you are ordering [...], skip this and go stright for the "Stinky" cheese.
