From our friends at Klaver Kaas come these two wonderful flavored all natural farmhouse cheeses. Klaver Kaas has their own herd of cows, which they milk daily to produce these scrumptious cheeses. Using Holland's most famous export as the base, the skilled chefs at Klaver Kaas have created two Italian inflected cheeses with deep, satisfying flavors.
  • Napoli Italian spiced cheese is set to become a new favorite with our staff and hopefully on your cheeseboard as well. A great marriage of rich cow's milk cheese and mouth-watering Italian spices make this a real crowd-pleaser. Great for snacking and an enticing addition to a variety of hot dishes. We especially love it on a steaming hot baked potato!
  • Oli-Jo, another amazing creation by Klaver Kase, is made with Italian Olive Oil. The healthy taste of this cheese lingers in your mouth, enticing you to take another bite.

Comments about Klaver Kaas:

The smell of the cheese and herbs was great but the taste was just so-so. Both my daughter and I noted a very unpleasant bitter aftertaste. This was not the sort you get from a nice glass of Porter or Stout, but a medicinal lingering one.

To be fair perhaps we just got a bad piece, but since the cheese smelled wonderful, I think it may just be that this cheese requires different taste buds than mine to be enjoyed.

This is one of my husband's favorites. I found him snacking on it at anytime of the day - even for breakfast. He likes to eat it with or without crackers. It was also good melted on top of scalloped potatoes, scrambled eggs, and in salad.

I recommend the Italian herb variety. It is wonderful melted on saltines or over Italian green beans.

This was a nice change. We are great Leyden fans but found this a delicious treat. The grandchildren took over and decided our food was not bad at all. Good blend of flavors.
