From Anna van Dijk (pronounced Van Dyke), the same cheesemaker that produces Dorothea, our popular Dutch goat cheese with potato skins, comes a cheese bearing her family name. Made since 1976 in the southern end of the Netherlands near Eindhoven, Van Dijk is made from a single herd of 500 goats that graze on pastures of natural grasses and wild herbs. This old-world style of raising goats yields a remarkably flavorful milk that gives Van Dijk an abundance of character. Notable for its bright white appearance, goat cheese is delicious, very healthy and easy to digest. Previously available only in Holland, France, Belgium and Germany, igourmet has now introduced this Dutch specialty to the USA. Aged for over six months.

of the three I ordered this is my second favorite. I do like this one but it had to grow on me a bit. I'm not that familiar with goat cheeses although since having it I've ordered the Dorothea like mad. This is a lovely cheese that goes well on the table or even a dessert tray. Have with a nice wine and keep on hand for a nice impromtu gathering or evening alone with a loved one.

Tangy,nutty flavor has just the right amount of sharpness, not overpowering. Got me hooked on goat cheese. [...] It should be one of the most popular cheeses, once you try it you want more.
