This gouda assortment is a delicious way to discover the nuances of how gouda matures during the aging process. It includes 1/2 pound of each of the following:
  • Fresh Farmer Gouda: The youngest, freshest gouda released to the market, ours is coated in bright yellow wax.
  • Beemster Classic Extra Aged Gouda is our best-selling gouda. After one taste of this 18-month masterpiece you'll see why. This extended time period allows its body to develop a muted caramel color, matched by a uniquely intense, yet sweet flavor.
  • Beemster X.O. A 26-month-old Dutch masterpiece, even richer and more intense than the popular 18-month variety. Made from pasteurized cow's milk.

Comments about Gouda Through The Ages:

My wife loves Gouda. I love this selection. We get it every time we have a cheese party. It is like a wine tasting. We put all three cheeses out together and have everyone experiment with the taste of the different ages. Its really kinda fun to find out which friends like which age of cheese best.

Comments about Gouda Through The Ages:

The cheese itself was outstanding, however a little more care in preparing it for shipping would be in order. We ordered 2 so we could share with the inlaws and one of them we got 3, another we only got 1.

Comments about Gouda Through The Ages:

It's hard to list the "pros" for this group of wonderful goudas, because of the great changes between them at different ages. All are delicious, but deliciously different from each other. The warm nutty flavor grows as it ages, while the creamy smoothness of the young cheese is wonderful on the tongue. Enjoy!

Love gouda, and the older aged, the better. This trio was great because it hit all 3 textures. Very good.
