Over the years, owners Avinoam and Michal Barkan have done over fifteen training periods in France and Spain to learn cheese-making techniques that they have brought back to their Moshav in Israel. The Brakin family's Barkanit Dairy is a spread of 500 acres in the village of Kfar Yechezkel and hosts a herd of 450 goats and several hundred sheep.

D’Vash is a great combination of sweet and tangy. The smooth, creamy tanginess of this Israeli goat cheese log is countered with the addition of honey. Sweet and delicious, it is wonderful served as a dessert with apples and toasted nuts or simply spread on your morning bagel.
  • Certified Kosher. Kosher for Passover.

Comments about D'Vash Goat Cheese with Honey:

I'm a avid seeker of good goat cheese know of at least two great goat cheese "Westfield Farms" here in Massachusetts and "Harley Farms" from California. Westfield Farms is offered here at [...] unfortunately Harley Farms is not offered yet. D'vash was excitedly awaited but I was rather disappointed on tasting the cheese. Creamy, smooth, pungent but not in a pleasant way. There was a very bitter after taste not what was expected with the addition of honey. The goodness of "goat cheese" was not present either.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), I am the only one who loves goat cheese in my family, but that okay because there is MORE FOR ME! This cheese is great on salads and fruit!
