Il Forteto, an agricultural cooperative in the farming town of Mugello, consistently crafts the finest specialty cheeses, and this Marzolino is no exception. A table fresh pecorino (sheep's milk cheese), Marzolino originates from the ancient methods of making cheese during springtime, when the new blossoms of pastures give an unmistakable flavor and a firm taste to the milk. This small ivory-colored wheel is brimming with mild, sweet flavor. A wonderful Tuscan cheese delicious on a cheese board or melted on focaccia.
  • Made from pasteurized sheep's milk.
  • Whole form of cheese is 1 lb.

Comments about Marzolino:

I may never go back to Kraft. This is a wonderful cheese. Very creamy but firm. Full of flavor. Very nice cheddar taste. This is something I will NOT share. The cracker thins I got too were a perfect match. I could still taste the cheese with just a hint of cracker.

Comments about Marzolino:

I've searched for years for a cheese that resembles pecorino fresco as it is sold in Toscano. This is the closest I've found yet. Even better than pecorino toscano.

This cheese is exceptional. One of the best tasting and most versatile cheeses I have found.
It is great to eat in the hand, or use in cooking, as it melts beautifully. But the best quality of this cheese is the Taste! It is perfect! You won't be disappointed.
