Stravecchio Oro del Tempo is a superior, 22-month aged Grana Padano produced by Agriform near Venice. This masterpiece compares beautifully with its better-known cousin Parmigiano Reggiano. The flavor of Stravecchio is intense and complex, with fruity overtones that evoke pineapple or strawberry, depending on the season. Like all precious things, every Stravecchio cheese is one of a kind, and each wheel is branded with a unique serial number. Agriform tests the quality of each wheel of Stravecchio every week until the twentieth month of aging. The end result of this rigorous testing process is that only the cheeses that deserve to become prime Grana Padano Stravecchio are stamped with the certificate of origin and guarantee.

ive just received this cheese and thought it was marvellous until i tried the parmaggiano reggiano that came with the order. the parmaggiano reggiano is similar in taste but slightly sweeter than the grana paddano. it has an overall well-rounded taste to the palate. the beemster extra aged gouda is the best tasting of all the cheeses i ordered. but then again, it is the king of gouda. i recommend everyone to try it.

I love the taste and texture of Grana Padano cheese. It's not a smooth cheese but almost a gritty texture with a fabulous flavor. I love to nibble on it as an appetizer with wine or sprinkle it on a salad. Delicious!

Did not notice the fruity flavor mentioned in description. What I found was milder than parmesan type cheese, nutty in flavor. Not too acidic or biting. It is a hard cheese. Grating works, and using a very sharp knife to cut helps.

I had a cheese similar to this on a recent trip to Italy. We became so addicted to it that we nicknamed it "[*] cheese". This was all but every bit as enjoyable as the original! Great price versus finding it at a local store. Also the quality was better than the local store. A tad grainier than the original but just as wonderful for snacking or as an hors d'oeurve.
