In order to understand the subtle difference between Grana Padano and Parmigiano-Reggiano, you need to taste them side-by-side. That is why we have created this special offering, containing 1/2 pound of each. Enjoy them chunked and drizzled with thick Four-Leaf Balsamico, thinly sliced over caesar salad or carpaccio, or grated over soup or pasta. Each of these cheeses has a long, storied history and the two have been rivals for centuries. Let the debate continue!

Comments about Classic Italian Hard Cheese Comparison:

I ordered the sampler to try the Grana Padano and to introduce my almost-daughter-in-law to the joy of Italian cheeses. I've always used the Parmigiano Reggiano and love it. The Grana Padano is a fine-flavored, fabulous cheese that we will always keep on hand! I served the Grana Padano shaved over our Caeser Salad, she really loved it and we ended up enjoying more of it simply shaved over a light crostini while sipping some espresso.

I loved these 2 cheeses. Have just recently moved to the Midwest from large Metro area on West Coast and have not been able to find the "real" thing here. So nice to enjoy some real hard cheeses. Eating both with pears and loving it.

Five Star quality. Not too hard of a cheeses' as supermarket cheese. But the fresh taste is something quite different for me. A fresh young cheeses'. Not stale and who knows how old these supermarket cheeses are.
