Dairy products are a staple of Polish cuisine. The most commonly used cheeses are zakaski, which is used in the filling of pierogies, and smietana, which is similar to sour cream. The Polish were among the early cultures to consume fermented milk products because they were once a nomadic people, and this was a way to preserve the food as they traveled. This cheese, made by Polonaise, is somewhat firmer than the other staple cheeses of Poland. It has a semi-soft, smooth texture and a mild, slightly sweet flavor. It is a good cooking and table cheese. Serve it with fresh fruit and dark, hearty bread.

We love this chesse have order more than once, it is great melted in a sandwich, cut up in a salad, grated on pasta, it's just a wonderful cheese and will buy again.

This is another of the fabulous Polish cheeses that go well with anything. I often melt it over vegetables or pasta. It is also good as a snack with crackers. It's consistency is very smooth, it doesn't taste starchy like other cheeses. It has a bit of a tang to it. Wonderful cheese!

A milder, semi-soft cheese that is great eating plain, with crackers, in a taosted cheese sandwich, or... Very flexible in use with a milder flavor.
