It's ok, but very rubbery. The bouquet and taste make up for that however.

This is one of the few instances when calling a cheese rubbery is a compliment. It is not overpoweringly strong but it has lots of personality and should appeal to many who try it, including children. Kurpianka is a fun cheese to eat, not pretentious, and only a snob would look down his/her nose at it.

I bought this on the recommendation from another reviewer, the one that said he eats it while he surfs the net. The first time I ate this cheese I think I lost my mind. I love smoked foods and wish the smoked salmon had not been out of stock at the time I purchased it. Of the 1.5 pounds, I probably ate 2/3s of it by myself. If I were a mouse, I'd be a glutton mouse if I came across this cheese. Stores well and has a good shelf life. Will definitely be buying this again, but not often as I will devour it and surely that can't be good for my health.

I have tried numerous smoked cheeses and like this one as well or better than bruder basil. It has a nice smoky taste, a flavorful rind, and a hint of salt. a great cheese to eat while reading a book or watching a movie.

this has been my favorite so far, i love the nice smoked flavor with a nice mild inside, makes an awsome fondue.
