Manchego Reserve (Extra Aged) - Pound Cut image

(based on 4 ratings)
Located in: Cheese, Spain
This special Manchego is aged for over 12 months, giving it a sharper, nuttier flavor and a firmer, more brittle texture than its younger namesake. It is produced in Central Spain's La Mancha region; a territory known for its fierce winds, violent temperature swings, and desert-like aridity. Manchego Reserve is made using traditional methods under strict quality guidelines. We especially love this cheese served with Rioja wine and fresh fruit.
  • Made from pasteurized sheep's milk.
  • Photo depicts whole 7 lb. form of cheese.
  • We cut and wrap this item by the pound.

Comments about Manchego Reserve (Extra Aged) - Pound Cut:

this cheese has an intense flavor that at the same time is soft in the palate, wonderful by itself or with fruit (grapes are the best combination!). Good for a snack with a wine or a beer or served as a side on a meal. Great classic adored by each and every Spaniard, very commonly served as a tapa in the bars of Spain!

Any occasion, crowd pleaser.

Comments about Manchego Reserve (Extra Aged) - Pound Cut:

Have used this cheese as hors d'oeuvre, on sandwich, melted and after dinner, cannot think of an inappropriate use. The flavor slowly developes on the palate and finishes with a mild, pleasant aftertaste. This would be overpowered by too much contrast in accompaniment.

Very nice manchego with a little bite, but a bit of creaminess. I usually serve this on a cheese tray and it always gets great comments. It is perfect with a little bit of jamon!
