A study carried out by the Rowett Institute in Aberdeen, Scotland, found that people who ate a small amount of Heartily Wholesome each day saw their cholesterol level fall by over 20% in just three weeks. Developed by Professor Nigel Slater of the Chemical Engineering Department of Cambridge University, this product is made with cow's milk in which the dairy fat has been removed and replaced with a special vegetable oil, which is naturally high in plant sterols. The plant sterols block off specific receptor sites preventing cholesterol from getting into the blood stream. The average person only needs to consume one ounce per day to reduce his or her cholesterol. With 98 million people in the U.S. who are concerned about their cholesterol levels, we believe miniCol will fast become a very popular product.
Comments about miniCol Cheddar Alternative by Emmi:
This cheddar-like cheese is made with vegetable oils replacing the animal fats. Sadly, a heart attack has made me minimize intake of animal fats. Every other no-butterfat cheese I've ever tried was like trying to eat an artist's gum eraser. This really reminds me of the cheese I love but no longer dare to eat. It's not quite the real thing, but it's a fine and honorable attempt, and it effectively consoles me.
