I used to be able to find a domestic limburger spread in a a jar at my local deli's refridgerator case, but it's been MIA for about 8 months now. I purchased this in hopes it would have a similar flavor. While not the same, this German spread still fits the bill perfectly when I'm looking for an afternoon or evening snack.

I am a fan of the regular King Ludwig Beer Cheese because of the flavor and texture. But the spread tasted nothing like the hard cheese. I would not purchase this again. Just tasted like any other processed cheese.

Was expecting something akin to butter or cream cheese in consistency, but found it's closer to yogurt or mayo, just smoother and less gelatinous if that makes sense. Full flavor, but not overpowering. We took it on a picnic and had it with hearty crackers, prosciutto, marinated artichoke hearts, and an assortment of aged hard cheeses. It married well with those items. I plan to use it on a sandwich soon. Beer lovers should be pleased, but I don't think its appeal is limited to just them. Will buy again.

Just delicious. Put it out for a party and it was empty first. Of course the party was one and i was hungry. Full flavor. Not too strong though. I'd order more.
