Queso Para Freir is a well known cheese that originated in the Caribbean. Similar to Cyprus's Halloumi, Para Frier stands up wonderfully to heat. Rather than melting, the cheese browns beautifully, creating a cheese with a crisp crust and a warm, soft center. This cheese resists melting even more than Queso Blanco. Originally a variation of Queso Blanco, Para Freir is also white and crumbly, but saltier. Milder than Halloumi, with a tangy flavor, serve Queso Para Freir as an hors d'oeuvre at your next party and enjoy this cheese as a delicious change!

We bought it thinking it was frying cheese but it was so bitter and harsh that both pieces were thrown away and we had to spit out what we did try. Horrible.
