The province of Soria is situated at an average altitude of 1,026 meters above sea level, one of the highest provinces in Spain. Soria is the least populated province in Spain, located in the Castilla y León region of central Spain. The high altitude contributes to the extremely tough climatic conditions. A range of wild flowers, grasses, and herbs flourish here, and this flora transmits their unique qualities to the milk of the cows that graze here. It is this milk that is made into Mantequilla de Soria butter.
With a butterfat content of 82%, Mantequilla de Soria is excellent for baking. Traditionally crafted, this butter is produced without colorants, additives, or preservatives. Packaged in a tin, this butter should still be refrigerated to ensure its shelf life. Available in either salted or unsalted.
