The recipe for Panforte, literally "Strong Bread" in English, dates back to the 13th Century. A Tuscan specialty, White Panforte is made from all-natural ingredients like almonds, candied orange peel, sugar, wheat flour, honey, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. It has a heavy consistency and a chewy, thick texture. Originally a Christmas pastry, Panforte is now enjoyed year round by Italian cuisine enthusiasts around the world. Made by Corsini, the most respected pastry company in Tuscany since 1921.

Comments about White Panforte (Traditional Tuscan Cake):

My grandmother used to get this at an Italian bakery in Greenwich Village when I was a kid. This one is just as good. Lots of almonds and candied orange. My kids hate it so I got it all to myself.

Comments about White Panforte (Traditional Tuscan Cake):

Great product, great price. Although I would love to get my hands on some more Panforte Nannini from Siena Italy, since I can't this is the best panforte available online for the price. The fruit, the nuts, the chocolate, the sugars, and the other secret ingredients altogether make for a wonderfully sweat and tasty desert. You'll want more!!! One taste is never enough :)

This is one of the best Panforte's I have had in years. Extremely tasty with no one ingredient overpowering the cake. Very well balanced overall and just plain good!

Comments about White Panforte (Traditional Tuscan Cake):

I've had panforte since I was a child at my Grandmothers. This tastes as good as the one she used to get once a year from Italy. I couldn't ask for better. I'm so glad I can buy it year round.
