I rarely drink any kind of alcohol but there is not any kind of alcohol flavor that I taste in the cakes, and I bought 4 different cakes. This is the first thing that I have purchased here that I am disappointed with.

I was surprised at how moist and flavorful the cakes were. Grab a big glass of milk or coffee and be prepared. You'll be tempted to eat more than one slice.

I purchased 4 of these in different flavors to serve over the holidays, and was very pleasantly surprised. My favorite is probably the orange (Cointreau) cake, but they're all very good.

Focusing for a moment on the orange cake, the texture is a rich moist sponge cake, with a strong Cointreau flavor and small chunks of candied orange peel. Although it is a sponge cake, it's not lightweight by any means. It is moist and loaded with strong orange flavor. We loved it!

The black forest cherry cake is similar, but flavored with cherry kirsch liqueur, and a chocolate sponge cake rather than the sunny yellow color of the orange. Delightful!

I don't think you'll be disappointed with these cakes, and, given the richness and flavor, the price is quite reasonable.

This cake is so moist and absolutely delicious. It has a rich spicy aroma, The taste is sweet with rich smooth flavor. It is something you just have to experience to understand, and well worth getting. It is perfect for a fancy desert with a spoon of whip cream, or a snack just for yourself

I have tried the Black Forest, Jamaican Rum and Orange Liqueur cakes. All are yummy but my favorite is the Orange Liqueur. When you open the foil packaging, you get a strong whiff of the liqueur flavor for each cake. The cakes are strong on flavor but light and tasty. I slice them and serve alone or with vanilla ice cream.

Watch Out! It's addictive.

I wanted to serve a non-traditional dessert to my dinner guests, so I presented a beer & wine tasting with samples of various sweets. The Amaretto cake was a perfect match for this comparison. It has a definate flavor but not so strong that it is over powering. The cake has good texture & is moist. I cut it into 1/2" slices and I think I got about 18-20 slices.

I have tried every flavor of these liqueur cakes. While Amaretto is my personal favorite, the other four do not disappoint. Inside each box, you will find a nice, foil-packaged cake that is moist, aromatic, and scrumptious. My last purchase was for 2 Amarettos and one of each other flavor. These are perfect for your unexpected guests when you need a little something special to serve with coffee.
