Casa Corsini, established in 1921 by the Corsini family, bakes traditional Tuscan sweets in rustic wood fired ovens using recipes that date back to a time before modern conveniences. Their fantastic line of Crostatas are an excellent new addition to the igourmet line of specialty cakes. Crostatas are flat, handmade Tuscan cakes filled lavishly with fruit conserves and topped with a lattice of crust. Sweet and emininently snackable, enjoy these cakes year-round served after the meal with a cup of hot coffee.

Comments about Corsini Crostata:

My husband and I really enjoyed this. Like a lot of Italian desserts, this doesn't have a cloying sweetness to it. It's not some sugar bomb cookie - making it perfect to have with midmorning coffee or after supper tea. Not too crisp, not too crumbly, and thick jammy fruit filling.
