Years ago, every house in Ireland would have its favorite fruitcake recipes and it would be handed down from one generation to the next. Today, the best of these recipes have been preserved and are being produced by Mileeven Fine Foods in County Kilkenny. Our favorite variety from Mileevens is the Irish Whiskey Fruitcake.

This is a very firm fruitcake with a breathy dryness that accompanies the addition of Irish whiskey. It overflows with dried fruit and crumbly spiced cake. It is made with a high fruit content, pure Irish butter, and real Irish Whiskey to ensure consistently good quality, taste, and a long shelf-life. For those unexpected visitors, or the gift that you need in a hurry, have a Mileeven Fruitcake tucked away.

This fruitcake is reasonably priced for a gourmet item [$] and tastes great. It is dryer thaen most other fruitcakes, but that is attributed to the whiskey used.

This is not your regular fruitcake - it has a heady flavor from the addition of a healthy dose of whiskey. This really makes a good end to a winter's meal.

Comments about Luxury Fruitcake with Irish Whiskey:

There is a lot of brand of fruitcake that stand out in term of ingredients and presentation. This fruitcake dosent have any one of those quality. The ingredients is mostly raisins. And the texture is dry. With the expensive price i expect alot more.
