Naturally leavened fruit breads have been made throughout Italy since the days of the Roman Empire. According to legend, the sweet yeast bread known as Panettone originated in Milan in the 15th Century. Today, Panettone is eaten throughout the country during holiday and celebration times.

Our Artisanal Panettone is made by a small family owned bakery, Sua Maestra. What makes their panettone so unique? They soak their raisins in traditional Sicilian wines, Marsala and Zibibbo, until they are plump and juicy and then add Sicilian candied oranges to the mix. They allow the cake dough to rise slowly over 3 days.

This Panettone is elegantly wrapped in their signature paper and ribbon. This Panettone is a beautiful gift to give to someone who truly enjoys fine Italian sweets..
  • Please note this is a seasonal item and is only available during the winter holiday.
