Fritz Knipschildt, a native of Denmark, moved to the U.S.A. in 1996 and founded Knipschildt Chocolatier in 1999. His European background, the formal education as a chef in Denmark, along with his training in France and Spain, have blended with his American experiences to influence his chocolates and confections.

Everything is artisan and made by hand. Only fresh products are used and no additives or preservatives are allowed. As a result, the highest quality ingredients deliver richer and deeper flavors.

His large Chocolate Bon Bons, Fritz calls them traditional Petit Fours, feature four delicate, yet devouring flavors. Perfect to share with someone you love or as a selfish treat. Includes:
  • A rich dark chocolate ganache infused with amaretto and fresh brewed mocha that is then enrobed in white chocolate for the best of both worlds.
  • A balance of bittersweet and bitterness in the form of marzipan with fresh squeezed lemon that is enrobed in milk chocolate.
  • The natural juice of black currants are melded with dark chocolate ganache and then enrobed in dark chocolate for this all-time favorite.
  • Almonds and hazelnuts are roasted, caramelized, and blended with dark chocolate to create a smooth and silky chocolate ganache. A touch of liquor de framboise is added for a modern twist on this traditional praline recipe.
Knipschildt Chocolatier, voted as one of the top 3 chocolates in the world by Gourmet Magazine.

Comments about Knipschildt Large Bon Bons - 4 Piece:

I used to be able to stop by the Knipschildt shop, Chocopologie, when I lived in the Northeast, and it was always a nice little indulgence for myself and my husband (but more for me!)

It's nice to be able to savor that chocolate again. These truffles are just like how we used to enjoy them in the shop!

I was so disappointed in these. The chocolate coating was waxy-tasting. The filling flavors were barely discernable.
