Piedras de Espana, Spanish Stones, are the creation of Luis Echeto Jr. in the Canary Islands of Spain. Luis uses the king of almonds - the largueta to create his “stones”. Extra large, long and flat, they are then covered in sugar, coated with chocolate from Africa made with 42% cocoa butter, and dusted in cocoa powder. Bite through the luxurious melt-in your-mouth chocolate coating to get to the fresh, crunchy flavor of these superior Spanish almonds. Very addictive!
  • Available in White Chocolate (Piedras Doradas) too.
  • Varieties sold separately.

Comments about Piedras de Espana (Chocolate Largueta Almonds):

These cocoa-covered almonds are uniquely crunchy because they are first covered in a thin layer of sugar glaze, then in chocolate, then rolled in cocoa. The sugar glaze seems to prevent the almonds from absorbing moisture from the chocolate. The almonds are large and flavorful. We enjoy eating a couple with our after-dinner espresso.
