Made by Mussini in Italy, these chocolate bonbons are made according to an old recipe from Modena, passed down from mother to daughter, when it caught on with gourmets in Italy and abroad. Mussini uses only select ingredients: bittersweet chocolate and sweet, syrupy, long-aged Balsamic Vinegar of Modena from their wooden barrels. This Balsamic has been carefully aged for twelve years until it develops a deep flavor reminiscent of dried cherries, figs, oak, and prunes. Serve these treats alongside ice cream, or with coffee, whisky, grappa, port, or Vino Passito.

Comments about Chocolates Filled with 12 Year Balsamic:

These chocolates have a terrific balence between the smooth, silky chocolate, and the tart, syrupy balsamic. You can taste some nice notes of dried figs, cherries, and plums in the balsamic. They're absolutely indulgent!

Comments about Chocolates Filled with 12 Year Balsamic:

Love Balsamic Vinegar and looked for the richness of the true flavor of 12 year vinegar, knowing that 12 is still young measured against the choice vinegar but was still looking for the goodness of "12 years" the chocolate was there with good flavor but it failed terrible otherwise.
