These triangular panforte logs are a wonderful accompaniment to blue cheeses. Made by hand with Belgium bittersweet coverture chocolate, freshly roasted hazelnuts and almonds, along with glace fruits (peach, apricot, kiwi, fig and orange). Try it with sweet Roaring Forties, creamy Regina Blue, or peppery and sweet St. Agur. The chocolate and nuts add a luxurious, cocoa-y body to the cheese, as the fruit adds a slightly tart and citrus high note, which is slightly softened by the fruits sugar glaze. This treat is also divine when topped with mascarpone and a piece of liquor-soaked fruit. Or simply slice thinly and enjoy with a nice, dark pot of coffee. Picture depicts three individual boxes.

Comments about Australian Chocolate Panforte:

I had this with Stilton I purchased from the website. The combination of the sweet, nutty, fruity chocolate and the rich tangy, salty cheese was unbeatable. I also had some with out the cheese. And I was in love with it. I would buy it again, and again.

Comments about Australian Chocolate Panforte:

I love panforte. This one was not bad, but not a traditional panforte. The texture is too soft and there were no distinct flavors as in Italian panforte. I think it was the texture that I most disliked.

Comments about Australian Chocolate Panforte:

we had this with no accompaniment, as a simple dessert. it's chocolatey, but not overly sweet or rich. we enjoyed it. i think the flavors make it especially appropriate for the winter holidays (glace fruit and nuts).
