Chuao Chocolatier is Southern California's only artisan chocolate shop. Named after the legendary cacao-producing region of Chuao in central Venezuela (pronounced chew-WOW), Chuao Chocolatier melds traditional European techniques with world-class Venezuelan chocolate and fresh, natural ingredients to produce the finest handmade chocolates.
  • Spicy Maya: Feel your throat warm and your nose tickle with each mouthful of Spicy Maya's premium dark chocolate. A hint of Pasilla chile, cayenne Pepper and cinnamon excite the taste buds. It's a return to chocolate's ancient roots with traditional ingredients that pay homage to the first chocolate-worshipping culture, the Mayans.
  • Chinita Nibs: Named after the beloved patron virgin of Maracaibo, Venezuela, the Chinita Nibs bar blends chocolate with a sprinkling of fresh nutmeg and Caramelized cacao nibs from Maracaibo's famous plantations. With each indulgent bite, feel the nibs crackle, taste the smooth dark chocolate, and breathe the lingering nutmeg aroma.
  • Earl Grey: Breath in the restorative bergamot citrus tones of the Earl Grey bar. Steeped and blended with Venezuelan milk chocolate, the Earl Grey Bar is an indulgence that must be savored like a good cup of tea.
  • Dark Chocolate with almonds, hazelnuts, and pistachios: Chuao skillfully blends a selection of their Carenero Superior chocolate line with natural California grown hazelnuts, pistachios and almonds to reach a delicate balance of velvety chocolate intertwined with the crunchy texture of the nuts.
  • Milk Chocolate with almonds, hazelnuts, and pistachios: Contains the same ingredients as the Dark chocolate but blended with milk chocolate for milk chocolate lovers.

Comments about Chuao Chocolate Bars:

We tried the Spicy Mayan Chocolate Bar. It wasn't too spicy or exceedingly sweet. A perfect balance.

Comments about Chuao Chocolate Bars:

Spicy Maya is not for the faint of heart. Quite a bit of Zing, but sometimes, I'm in the mood for Zing. Earl Grey is more of a comfort chocolate, though still unique.
