La Mere Poulard is a famous 19th century restaurant in Le Mont Saint Michel. Owned by La Mere Poulard, a renowned chef, the restaurant still exists and is quite popular. Since 1888 the name "Mere Poulard" has been synonymous with quality.
Mere Poulard's Amandines are made in the tradition of her fine, buttery biscuits. Amandines, meaning “garnished with almonds,” have an irresistible, buttery-almond flavor. Poulard perfects her classic galette recipe with roasted almonds in grain, natural almond flouring, and caramel. Enjoy at tea or coffee time, or whenever you deserve a sweet French treat.
