The Duchy of Cornwall farms have been part of English country life for the past 650 years. In 1990, the present Duke of Cornwall, HRH Prince Charles, formed "Duchy Originals" to market products made from organic wheat and oats from his own estates as a model for English farmers. Free from animal fats, artificial flavors and preservatives, they offer a pure, clean, natural taste experience. The oaten biscuit is a perfect foil to the best cheese, coffee or fruit. The gingered, lemon and shortbread biscuits are great alone or with sorbet or ice cream. These are made from Shipton Mill organic flour, but are made even more delicious by significant use of butter - up to 32% in the shortbread variety! I love these! Will order again. Excellent fruity flavor, wih a soft biscuit texture. Fresh. Maybe crumbles too easily.

Some of the best British biscuits I have ever had. The Prince of Wales and his Duchy of Cornwall are creating superb food items. You will want to buy these in quantity!

The fact that they are organic makes eating them a joy because not only are they marvelous cookies, but they are grown so as to protect the land for future generations.

Hopefully, igourmet will restock the other varieties of these delicious Duchy biscuits. I just knew they had to be very good, but I was pleasantly surprised at just how good! The Duchy of Cornwall, under the Prince of Wales, has created a class act with these biscuits.

Only problem was half of the cookies were broken into many pieces. This was no problem as I found they were great over coffee or mocha ice cream (ordered the orange biscuits).

We discovered these delightful biscuits while visiting Britain and instantly fell in love. We've tried both the shortbread variety and the butterscotch shortbread, which has rich butterscotch pieces that are just the right texture without too much crunch. The buttery cookie immediately shows its high quality in taste and texture, and would make a lovely addition to any tea, dessert or midnight snack!

Duchy Originals are made by Walkers to Prince Charles' specifications, among which are all organic ingredients. Wonderful.
