Café-Tasse, with its heritage of fine flavour and its history of top master "chocolatiers", offers us the same joy of chocolate we've loved since our childhood. With many varieties, superior and constant quality and that irresistible "little square", it echoes a tradition redolent of poetry and fine food. Its flavours, hinting at exotic journeys, modernity and traditional recipes highlight the contrast between the pleasures of the past and the present. Its chocolate collections are master-works by artists creating and evolving flavours, like painters whose pigments and techniques are constantly reworked. In all four corners of the world, Café-Tasse continues to dedicate its experience and know-how to fulfill our desires for sensory escapism.

The dull crackling sound when you break a chocolate tablette bar; the intense flavor of the first piece you bite into; the desire to take another bite to relish - all this is part of the pleasure when you eat a tablette. Tablettes are savored slowly, like a call to meditation. Their particular aromas make them truly delectable. This is gourmet chocolate par excellence, with no pretension or posturing. Blended with real Szechuan chilis, the lemony-bright heat of the peppercorns makes this bar an outstanding chocolate experience. Not for the unadventurous!

Comments about Cafe-Tasse Dark Chocolate Bar with Szechuan Chili:

This chocolate was very very interesting. Better than the rating I gave it, but realistically not good enough for one star more. The Szechuan Chili was just a bit incongruous with the chocolate; it somehow didn't meld together.
